Track II Diplomacy
Tracktwo is inspired by Track II diplomacy – an informal diplomatic approach where independent experts help resolve conflicts through dialogue and cooperation. This approach shapes our entire practice and is reflected in our international network of partners and experts spanning diplomacy, business, academia and civil society.

Strategic collaborations
Malin Oud
Founder and Managing Director
Tracktwo is led by Malin Oud, a China specialist with over 25 years of professional experience in human rights and sustainable development. She is co-founder and managing director of The Decoding China Project, affiliated scholar at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, and advisor and board member of several organisations, including the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS), Global Business Initiative on Human Rights, and Solar Stewardship Initiative. Since 2023, she has served as vice chair of the Expert Group for Aid Studies (EBA).
Malin’s previous roles include heading the Raoul Wallenberg Institute’s offices in Beijing (2001–2009) and Stockholm (2016–2025), serving as consultant to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), and as programme manager at Sida. She studied Chinese, social anthropology, international law and human rights in Lund, Kunming and London, and holds a Master’s degree in international development from the University of Melbourne.
