Supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), the purpose of this project was to promote new partnerships between Sweden and Chinese civil society organisations in the areas of food safety and work-related rights. Meetings and seminars with different stakeholders and potential partners were carried out in Stockholm, Lund, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Shenzhen during the 1-year project period in 2012. The Chinese project partners also participated in a study visit to Visby during Almedalen-week (Sweden’s biggest annual political event).
The project resulted in increased knowledge in Sweden about how Chinese civil society organisations work with anti-discrimination, labour rights, food safety and corporate social responsibility. Tracktwo was invited to present the results and experiences from the project at a conference organised by Sida in December 2013. Read about the conference here.
